This page will be gaining new additions on a regular basis, I hope...

This is a baby hedgehog we saw in Danny's aunt Mary's front yard in Waiau...very cute...however what you can't tell from the picture is that it was absolutely crawling with maggots. We think it had 1.99 feet on the banana peel...

This is one of the giraffes at Orana Park, a wildlife park in Chch out near the airport. Recently threatened by fire (within metres of the park boundary), but luckily the wind shifted and they didn't have to start shooting the animals. Anyway, we got to feed the giraffes, and boy do they have powerful tongues!

Meerkats at Orana Park...obviously not concerned in the least about everyone staring at them...just taking it easy, getting their afternoon sun. What a hard life!

Some Japanese snow monkeys, waiting for their chow. I want a prehensile tail too!

There was a little baby one there, I forget how old. A few weeks, at any rate, and he was hanging on to Mom for dear life! Sooooo cute! Look at his little face!

Ellen and I with Keely - Ellen is Al's boss's daughter, and Keely is their Irish Setter - isn't she gorgeous?

Al and Georgie taking Jazz out for a little exercise in the gig...what fun, eh??

A close up of Jazz...isn't he a sweetie?! He's 5 and about the most mild tempered pony I've ever met! Especially for you, ML!

A fuzzy picture of Timmy (ginger) and Tammy (gray), the brother and sister duo that Georgie got from the vet. They live outside under a shed, and we're hoping they like the taste of rabbit.

A sheep jam between Darfield and Sheffield (not on the main highway this time).

This is just a crab I thought was really cool at Punakaiki!

Some deer down south in the Makarora Valley (I think).

These are my friend Tracey's aunt's doggies, Tricki (in the box) and Mimi. Tricki is full blooded Pomeranian, and Mimi is a Pom./terrier cross. What cuties, eh?

These next two are from my visit to the Honolulu Zoo...

This is one of the cool Galapagos tortoises ambling about in his enclosure...somehow they weren't as slow-moving as I was expecting!

And the African animal enclosure, I think it looks kinda like a postcard or painting or something!

This is one of the grizzly bears up the top of Grouse Mountain, in its enclosure.
